As the regional center of finance, business, entertainment, retail, culture, recreation, medical services and education, Downtown Spokane’s trade area includes 1.7 million people in Washington, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and two Canadian provinces. Investment pouring into Downtown Spokane is transforming the city and includes over 800 new projects valued at more than 4 billion dollars.

208,916 people live in the City of Spokane, expected to grow to 230,000-280,000 by 2025. 475,735 people live in Spokane County and approximately 607,000 in the Spokane Region (50 mile radius).

Year-round outdoor recreation is brought by 250 days of sunshine annually, 100-acre Riverfront Park, one of the nation’s largest urban waterfalls, 37-mile Centennial Trail and 400-acre River Gorge – surrounded by 76 lakes, four rivers, five ski areas and 32 golf courses within a 50-mile radius.

Attracting 737,000 annual patrons, 80 arts organizations – symphony, theater and more – center around Spokane’s cultural heart, 

More than 33,000 people, 15% of Spokane County’s workforce, work downtown every weekday. Over 2,300 businesses operate Downtown, many of which are Spokane County’s largest employers. Eight of Spokane’s top 10 financial institutions have main offices located downtown. Twenty-four of Spokane’s largest law firms are located Downtown.
