Downtown Bike Racks

A total of 30 bike racks are installed throughout the downtown area with the help of GTEC. Thanks to all of the following businesses and organizations who participated in making their buildings and the surrounding area more bike friendly!

The City of Spokane has a store custom racks created by Inland Metal Works available for installation. To request one of these unique racks be located at your favorite downtown location, contact Andrew Rolwes at 509.456.0580 ext. 109 or

Motorcycle and Scooter Parking*

Be fuel efficient by utilizing two wheeled transportation while the weather is good. Here's a list of locations to park your bike or scooter downtown. 

  • The east side of Post Street, across from City Hall
  • The south side of Main Street, east of Red Robin
  • The north side of Main Street, west of Auntie's Bookstore
  • The south side of Spokane Falls Blvd., next to Wheatland Bank

*Stalls are converted back to regular parking spots in late fall and remain through winter.

Commute Trip Reduction

In 1993, Spokane County implemented the Commute Trip Reduction (CTR) Law to reduce traffic congestion, air pollution and fuel consumption through employer-based programs that reduce the number and distance of single occupant vehicles on the road. Through, employers and employees can utilize a wide range of programs to reduce the number of vehicles on the road.
